Samba Motor Sailor

General Information

M/S Samba

In overall quality, we feel the Samba is the best in its class. In our opinion, few yachts operating in the Galapagos in any class operate with a superior level of commitment to quality and service as the Samba. Originally built in 1966 as a private yacht, the Samba is a smaller, basic yacht accommodating 14 passengers for an intimate experience in the islands with exceptional service, food, and a high level of comfort and space. The Samba offers indoor and outdoor dining areas, two ample deck areas, an indoor dining area with TV and library, and 7 double cabins with air conditioning and private bath. The yacht owners have a serious commitment to responsibility and sustainability in the Galapagos, working to minimize the ecological impact of the yacht and contributing to various social and development projects on the islands as well. With their exceptional reputation for service and guide quality, and operating superb itineraries, the Samba is highly recommended for a fantastic experience in the Galapagos islands at a reasonable price.

Itinerary

Galapagos yachts all operate on a 14 day (2 week) circuit. This circuit is broken into shorter itineraries which can be combined; depending on the yacht, cruises can be as short as 4 days and as long as 15 days.

Starting or ending days are highlighted in the 15 day itinerary (day 1 and day 15 have the same activities); passengers arriving on these days will do the afternoon activity and passengers departing on these days will do the morning activity.

The Samba offers two itineraries of 8 days, which can be combined to form a complete circuit of 15 days. One itinerary includes the northwest area of the Galapagos, including Isabela and Fernandina, and the other visits the southeast and central portion of the islands.

All itineraries listed below are subject to change or modification due to park regulations, airport restrictions, weather conditions, or other circumstances beyond the control of Eos or the yacht operators. They are listed as a service to provide general information as to which places in the Galapagos are typically visited by each yacht cruise.
